Birthdays always bring emotion with them. The emotion can be double when you organize them. On the occasion of IKEA‘s 10th birthday, the client contacted us with a precise, tight, and festive brief – to create a digital prize wheel.
Goal: On September 20, 2021, IKEA wanted to organize a one-day offline game, but with a modern online activity to delight its customers and celebrate the brand’s anniversary by surprising them with many gifts.
Mechanics: The game took place in five main IKEA stores located in the largest cities where the brand is positioned – Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, and Burgas. Behind the cash registers in each store, there were hostesses waiting. They gave the lucky ones a chance to join the game by spinning the digital wheel on a tablet. Prizes were randomly distributed among all participants.
What were the requirements for customers to participate? Nothing more than making a purchase with a minimum value of 10 BGN.
And speaking of birthdays… the most exciting part is always the prizes, and IKEA made sure they were exceptional.
